The first text has five parts: (1) general question; (2) brief answer; (3) enumeration of terms; (4) broad explanation; (5) general conclusion. The broad explanation has two parts: (1) general presentation; (2) separate explanations, which has two parts: (a) clarifying internal obstacles, which has three parts: (i) question; (ii) answer, which has five parts: [A] clarifying the dominant fruit, which has two parts: <1> establishing the cause; <2> showing the fruit, which has two parts: (aa) presentation; (bb) explanation; [B] clarifying the outflow fruit, which has three parts, as in the treatise; [C] clarifying the fruition fruit, which has two parts: <1> establishing the cause; <2> showing the fruit; [D] clarifying the present-life outflow fruit, which has two parts: <1> establishing the cause; <2> showing the fruit; [E] clarifying miscellaneous fruition and outflow fruits, which has sixteen parts, as in the treatise; (iii) conclusion; (b) clarifying external obstacles, which has three parts: (i) question; (ii) answer, which has two parts: [A] based on lacking the true teaching, clarifying external obstacles, which has two parts: <1> establishing the cause; <2> showing the fruit; [B] based on bad bases, clarifying external obstacles, which has four parts: <1> clarifying daytime obstacles; <2> clarifying nighttime obstacles; <3> clarifying obstacles of bad contact; <4> clarifying obstacles of fear; (iii) conclusion; (5) clarifying the general conclusion.
