二別釋分四十四中第三十八依不解愁惱立學處相分四。一立犯人。二顯悲處。三明犯相分二。一明有染分三。一立因。二顯果。三結。二明非染犯。四明無犯相分二。一標。二釋指文。

Within the second [section], the detailed explanation in forty-four [parts], the thirty-eighth, on establishing the characteristics of the training rule based on not dispelling sorrow and affliction, has four parts: 1. establishing the person committing the transgression; 2. revealing the object of compassion; 3. explaining the characteristics of the transgression, with two parts: (1) explaining the defiled [transgression], with three parts: a. establishing the cause, b. revealing the fruit, c. concluding; (2) explaining the non-defiled transgression; 4. explaining the characteristics of non-transgression, with two parts: (1) presentation; (2) explanation referencing the treatise text.
