Within the second [section], the detailed explanation in forty-four [parts], the forty-first, on establishing the characteristics of the training rule based on not accommodating the minds of others, has three parts: 1. establishing the person committing the transgression; 2. explaining the characteristics of the transgression, with two parts: (1) explaining the defiled transgression, with three parts: a. establishing the cause, b. revealing the fruit, c. concluding; (2) explaining the non-defiled transgression; 3. explaining the characteristics of non-transgression, with two parts: (1) general presentation; (2) detailed explanation in seven parts: a. explaining non-transgression based on [the request] being unsuitable, b. explaining non-transgression based on illness, c. explaining non-transgression based on lacking strength, d. explaining non-transgression based on monastic regulation, e. explaining non-transgression based on what is displeasing to the majority, f. explaining non-transgression based on skillful means for subduing tirthikas, g. explaining non-transgression based on subduing the other person.
