The first text is divided into three: 1. general inquiry, 2. detailed answer, 3. general conclusion. The detailed answer is divided into six: 1. Explaining the skillful means of realizing all Buddha-dharmas based on a mind of compassion, divided into two: (1) establishing the cause, (2) showing the fruit. 2. Explaining the skillful means of realizing all Buddha-dharmas based on fully understanding all conditioned factors, divided into two: (1) establishing what is understood, (2) establishing that which understands. 3. Explaining the skillful means of realizing all Buddha-dharmas based on wondrous wisdom, divided into two: (1) establishing what is sought, (2) establishing that which seeks. 4. Explaining the skillful means of realizing all Buddha-dharmas based on not abandoning birth-and-death, divided into two: (1) establishing the cause, (2) showing the fruit. 5. Explaining the skillful means of realizing all Buddha-dharmas based on the mind being free from defilement, divided into two: (1) establishing the cause, (2) showing the fruit. 6. Explaining the skillful means of realizing all Buddha-dharmas based on blazing vigor, divided into two: (1) establishing the cause, (2) showing the fruit. The third [part] explains the general conclusion.
