Within the nine [sections] of the third [part], the detailed prose explanation, the fifth, explaining the five kinds of benefits of expounding the true Dharma, has four [parts]: 1. a general statement; 2. a questioning interrogation; 3. individual explanations; 4. a general conclusion. The individual explanations have five [parts]: 1. explaining the benefit based on generally attaining the pure Dharma-eye, which has two [parts]: (1) establishing the cause, (2) revealing the fruit; 2. explaining the benefit based on attaining the exhaustion of all outflows, which has two [parts]: (1) establishing the cause, (2) revealing the fruit; 3. explaining the benefit based on generating the mind of correct aspiration, which has two [parts]: (1) establishing the cause, (2) revealing the fruit; 4. explaining the benefit based on attaining forbearance toward dharmas, which has two [parts]: (1) establishing the cause, (2) revealing the fruit; 5. explaining the benefit based on causing the eye of the true Dharma to abide long without perishing, which has two [parts]: (1) establishing the cause, (2) revealing the fruit. 4. a general conclusion.
