Under the extensive explanation of affectionate speech in nine [parts], the third, explaining affectionate speech difficult to practice, has three [sections]: 1. a general question; 2. a brief answer; 3. a separate explanation, which has three [subsections]: (1) based on enemies and bad friends, explaining affectionate speech difficult to practice, in five [points]: i. establishing the person capable of practicing; ii. explaining the locus difficult to practice; iii. establishing the cause of difficult practice, in two [steps]: based on seeds, and based on active manifestations; iv. revealing the fruit; v. concluding; (2) based on foolish sentient beings, explaining affectionate speech difficult to practice, in five [points]: i. establishing the person capable of practicing; ii. establishing the locus difficult to practice; iii. explaining the cause of difficult practice; iv. revealing the fruit; v. concluding; (3) based on deceitful and fraudulent sentient beings, explaining affectionate speech difficult to practice, in five [points]: i. establishing the person capable of practicing; ii. establishing the locus difficult to practice; iii. establishing the cause of difficult practice, in two [steps]: based on seeds, and based on active manifestations; iv. revealing the fruit; v. concluding.
