Of the seven parts, 7. answering the seventh question, 'How does one, when listening to the Dharma from a good spiritual friend, not generate divergent notions regarding the preacher of the Dharma?', has four [parts]: (1) general statement; (2) specific explanation, which has five [parts]: [a] explaining not generating divergent notions based on broken precepts has two [parts]: [i] heading, [ii] explanation; [b] explaining not generating divergent notions based on degraded lineage has two [parts]: [i] heading, [ii] explanation; [c] explaining not generating divergent notions based on degraded appearance has two [parts]: [i] heading, [ii] explanation; [d] explaining not generating divergent notions based on degraded phrasing has three [parts]: [i] heading, [ii] explanation, [iii] conclusion; [e] explaining not generating divergent notions based on lack of eloquence has two [parts]: [i] heading, [ii] explanation; (3) explaining the concluding exhortation; (4) explaining the faults.
