Within the third, the extensive explanation in prose, having sixteen parts, the second, clarifying the dharmas that are factors of awakening based on the nature of firm and steadfast maintenance, has four parts: 1. general question; 2. brief answer; 3. listing the names, which has two parts as in the treatise; 4. detailed explanation, which has two parts: (1) clarifying the characteristics of its svabhāva, which has three parts: a. general statement; b. explanation, which has five parts as in the treatise; c. general conclusion; (2) clarifying the characteristics of its bases, which has three parts: a. general statement; b. detailed explanation; c. general conclusion. The detailed explanation has five parts: a. clarifying the base based on sentient beings of great duḥkha and wrong practice; b. clarifying the base based on enduring the duḥkha of saṃsāra for a long time; c. clarifying the base based on propagating the meaning of the Dharma; d. clarifying the base based on receiving and training; e. clarifying the base based on listening to the profound Dharma. 3. General conclusion.
