Clarifying the dharmas that are factors of awakening based on moral shame and remorse has four parts: 1. general question; 2. brief answer; 3. listing the names, which has two parts as in the treatise; 4. detailed explanation, which has two parts: (1) clarifying the svabhāva of moral shame and remorse, which has four parts: a. general statement; b. explanation, which has two parts: [a] clarifying the svabhāva of moral shame; [b] clarifying the svabhāva of remorse; c. explaining the meaning of svabhāva; d. general conclusion; (2) clarifying the bases of moral shame and remorse, which has three parts: a. general statement; b. detailed explanation; c. general conclusion.
