分六中第二明諸識成因果善巧相分七。一總問。二答正義。三徵。四答所以分三。一標。二釋。三結。五立喻。六例明餘四識因果道理。七明無依諸識不生義分二。一立因。二顯果。

Under the six divisions, the second part, explaining the characteristic of skill regarding the various consciousnesses becoming cause and fruit, has seven [subparts]: 1. general question; 2. answering the correct meaning; 3. inquiry; 4. answering the reason, having three [points]: (1) statement, (2) explanation, (3) conclusion; 5. setting forth an analogy; 6. illustrating by analogy the principle of cause and fruit for the other four consciousnesses; 7. explaining the meaning that the various consciousnesses do not arise without a support, having two [points]: (1) establishing the cause, (2) revealing the fruit.
