分十七中第二依十二經句明根所依差別義分三。一問經意趣分十二如論。二略答。三廣解經意分二。一總標。二別釋分五。一明此身有色麁滓所成句意趣。二明四大所造句意趣。三明父母不淨等三句意趣分二。一標。二釋分三如論。四明常假覆蔽等三句意趣分二。一標。二釋分三如論。五明斷截等四句意趣分二。一標。二釋分二如論。

Under the seventeen divisions, the second [section], clarifying the distinct meanings of the bases of the faculties based on twelve sūtra phrases, is divided into three: 1. asking about the intention of the sūtra, divided into twelve as in the treatise; 2. brief answer; 3. extensive explanation of the sūtra's intention, divided into two: (1) general statement, (2) distinct explanations, divided into five: i. clarifying the intention of the phrase stating that this body is physical and formed of gross sediment, ii. clarifying the intention of the phrase stating that it is made of the four great elements, iii. clarifying the intention of the three phrases beginning with the impurity of parents, divided into two: a. statement, b. explanation, divided into three as in the treatise; iv. clarifying the intention of the three phrases beginning with constantly requiring covering, divided into two: a. statement, b. explanation, divided into three as in the treatise; v. clarifying the intention of the four phrases beginning with cutting and severing, divided into two: a. statement, b. explanation, divided into two as in the treatise.
