Under the seventeen divisions, the fourth [section], clarifying the distinctions among the bases of the faculties based on the meaning of a man being bound by a woman through eight situations, is divided into three: 1. general question, divided into two: (1) statement, (2) explanation, divided into eight as in the treatise; 2. brief answer; 3. distinct explanations of the sūtra phrases, divided into two: (1) general statement, (2) distinct explanations, divided into two: i. clarifying the four bondages at the time of play, divided into four as in the treatise; ii. clarifying the four bondages at the time of enjoyment, divided into four as in the treatise.
