大門分三中第二分別眼耳二根所行之境立善不善因由分五。一總問。二略答。三列名分三如論。四解釋。五明意趣分二。一立因。二顯果。

Within the main section's division into three, the second, distinguishing the reasons for establishing wholesome and unwholesome in the spheres of activity of the eye and ear faculties, is divided into five: (1) general question; (2) brief answer; (3) listing the terms, divided into three, as in the treatise; (4) explanation; and (5) clarifying the intended meaning, divided into two: [a] establishing the cause, and [b] revealing the result.
