分六中第四思惟色等境界於根現前之義分二。一總問。一廣答分三　一答異生人等境現根義分三。一明色境現眼根緣分三。一明五緣。二明現四緣。三明一眼現緣。二明聲境現耳根緣分二。一明非現三緣。二明能現五緣。三合明香味觸三現鼻等三根緣分二如論　第二答天眼所行現緣分二。一明現前相分七如論。二明非行處相　第三答聖慧眼所行現相。

Within the division into six, the fourth, contemplating the meaning of objects such as form being present before the faculties, is divided into two: (1) general question; and (2) detailed answer, divided into three: [a] answering the meaning of objects being present before the faculties for ordinary persons and the like, divided into three: <i> clarifying the conditions for form objects being present before the eye faculty, divided into three: (i) clarifying the five conditions; (ii) clarifying the four conditions for being present; and (iii) clarifying the conditions for presence to a single eye; <ii> clarifying the conditions for sound objects being present before the ear faculty, divided into two: (i) clarifying the three conditions for non-presence; and (ii) clarifying the five conditions capable of presence; and <iii> jointly clarifying the conditions for the three—smell, taste, and tangibles—being present before the three faculties—nose and so forth, divided into two, as in the treatise; [b] answering the conditions for presence of what is in the sphere of activity of the divine eye, divided into two: <i> clarifying the characteristics of being present before it, divided into seven, as in the treatise; and <ii> clarifying the characteristics of not being its sphere of activity; and [c] answering the characteristics of presence of what is in the sphere of activity of the noble wisdom eye.
