Ninth among the nine [sections] of the extensive answers: explaining the meaning of the four conditions such as seeds, divided into seven: 1. General heading. 2. Listing of terms, divided into four as in the treatise. 3. Specific explanations, divided into four: (1) explaining the characteristics induced by seeds; (2) explaining nourishment by food and drink; (3) explaining following along and protecting; (4) explaining learning and performing bodily and vocal actions, divided into three: heading, explanation, and conclusion. 4. Explaining the faults of not practicing. 5. Explaining the benefits of practicing, divided into two: (1) establishing the cause; (2) revealing the effect. 6. Explaining the characteristics of difficulty in awakening, divided into two: (1) heading; (2) explanation, divided into eight as in the treatise. 7. General summary.
