多同類種俱時轉故者。諸識一一皆有多種一時俱起無開導力。且如眼識有多種子。皆是能生眼識功能。皆眼識種名多同類。此同類種俱時轉故。展轉相望非無間緣。如彼色法及不相應。同類俱轉不得成緣。

Regarding "because many seeds of the same kind evolve simultaneously": each of the consciousnesses has many seeds that arise together at the same time, lacking the power to yield place and guide. For instance, visual consciousness has many seeds, all of which are capacities capable of producing visual consciousness; all being seeds of visual consciousness, they are called "many of the same kind". Because these seeds of the same kind evolve simultaneously, looking mutually to one another they are not immediately preceding conditions, just like material dharmas and non-associated formations, which evolve simultaneously as the same kind and cannot form this condition.
