謂能取境正因等相者。謂於境中引發善思為正因相。引發邪思為邪因相。引發無記思為俱非因相。此中意說。由三性思緣三因境。隨其所應驅役自心令造善等。

Regarding 'Referring to being able to grasp the characteristics of correct causes and so forth of objects': this means that, within objects, inducing wholesome intention is the characteristic of correct causes; inducing evil intention is the characteristic of incorrect causes; and inducing indeterminate intention is the characteristic of non-dual causes. What is meant here is that intention of the three natures conditions objects of the three causes, and drives its own mind in accordance with what is appropriate, causing it to create wholesome [actions] and so forth.
