修經三大劫名長時修。恒行不斷名無間修。於行恭敬名慇重修。無行不修名無餘修。依此五修辯五精進。

Practicing through the three great aeons is called long-term cultivation. Constantly practicing without interruption is called uninterrupted cultivation. Being respectful in practice is called earnest cultivation. Practicing without omitting any practice is called non-remainder cultivation. In accordance with these five cultivations, the five kinds of diligence are distinguished.
