Regarding "distancing oneself from dauṣṭhulya, harmonizing body and mind, and so forth": dauṣṭhulya is of two kinds: first, the twofold obscuration; second, the seeds. They are established with the name dauṣṭhulya because their nature lacks competence and opposes lightness and pliancy. Second, the incompetence within the body induced by the seeds of the twofold obscuration; this is neither identical to nor different from the five aggregates, yet apart from the five aggregates it has no separate self-nature. This causes body and mind to be dim, heavy, and without peace and harmony; because it opposes lightness and pliancy, it is also called dauṣṭhulya. What is distanced here in this text refers to the latter, not the former.
