令所依止轉安適者。即釋前文轉依之言。前文所言轉依為業者。非為佛果轉依之義。與彼十種轉依別故。此中依者即所依止身及心也。所言轉者。轉去不安至適故名轉依。

Regarding "causing the basis to become tranquil and comfortable": this explains the phrase "transformation of the basis" (āśraya-parivṛtti) in the preceding text. What was spoken in the preceding text of "having transformation of the basis as its function" does not have the meaning of the transformation of the basis of the Buddha-fruit, because it differs from those ten kinds of transformation of the basis. Here, "basis" refers to the body and mind that are relied upon. That which is called "transformation" means transforming away discomfort so that one reaches comfort; hence it is called transformation of the basis.
