後三皆通染淨無記等者。染無記者即是有覆。淨無記者即是無覆。睡眠尋伺行解麁細通染淨故。惡作唯淨。四非是染。行解麁猛。而染無記是審細故。

"The latter three all extend to defiled, pure, and indeterminate, etc.": the defiled indeterminate is the obscured, while the pure indeterminate is the unobscured. Because the coarse and subtle aspects of the cognitive modes of sleep, investigation, and analysis extend to defiled and pure, remorse is exclusively pure and is not defiled among the four, its cognitive mode being coarse and vigorous, whereas the defiled indeterminate is observant and subtle.
