攝論所說一意識宗等者。彼論所引一意識菩薩所宗之義。而不破斥彼合前六。但是一識由依六根別取六塵開六識名。非有六識。兼第七八總有三識。

Regarding 'The single-mental-consciousness doctrine expounded in the Saṃgraha', and so forth: that treatise cites the doctrine upheld by the single-mental-consciousness bodhisattvas without refuting it: they combine the first six, which are merely a single consciousness; relying on the six faculties, it takes six distinct dusts [objects] and is differentiated under the names of six consciousnesses, yet there are not six [separate] consciousnesses. Together with the seventh and eighth, there are three consciousnesses in total.
