若異屬因是異之熟者。此下四句約其六釋釋異熟二字因果。四句名也。此之二句辨依主釋。謂既前言異義通因。若將異義屬善惡者。因熟唯在果第八種子現行。即是善惡。異家之熟依主釋也。

Regarding "if 'different' belongs to the cause, it is the maturation of the different": The following four clauses explain the cause and effect of the two characters "vipāka" (yi-shu, different maturation) in terms of the six compound interpretations (ṣaṭsamāsa), giving names to the four clauses. These two clauses explain the tatpuruṣa compound (dependent genitive). That is, since it was previously said that the meaning of "different" applies to the cause, if one attributes the meaning of "different" to wholesome and unwholesome causes, maturation pertains solely to the effect—the seeds and active functioning of the eighth [consciousness]. This is the maturation of the different (wholesome and unwholesome)—a tatpuruṣa compound.
