論。若如來至而取解者　述曰。此下第二顯緣差別必依於論。於中別顯四種根性。即分為四。此初具足二持根性。最利根者依廣經緣而能取解。言自力者即智力。由自智力自依廣經而能解義不假論故。

[Treatise:] "If after the Tathāgata... and grasp understanding." / [Exposition:] The second section below reveals that due to differences in conditions, one must rely on treatises. Within it, four kinds of faculties are separately revealed, which are divided into four. This is the first, having the capacity of faculties that possess both retentions. Those of the sharpest faculties rely on the condition of extensive sūtras and are able to grasp understanding. "By their own power" refers to the power of wisdom. Because by their own power of wisdom they independently rely on extensive sūtras and are able to understand the meaning, they do not depend on treatises.
