1.29

論。或有眾生至而多解者　述曰。此即第二義持根性。此利根者依略聞緣而廣解義法。不多聞諸經文句而多解者。亦是自智。是故論言亦以自力。

[Treatise:] "There are also sentient beings... and understand much." / [Exposition:] This is the second, the capacity of faculties that retain the meaning. These individuals of sharp faculties rely on the condition of brief hearing and broadly understand the principles of the Dharma. That they do not hear much of the phrases and sentences of the sūtras yet understand much is also due to their own wisdom; therefore, the treatise says, "also by their own power."
