1.31

論。自有眾生至能取解者　述曰。此即第四俱□二持最鈍根者。重文持故復以廣論文多為煩。其心唯樂□□。而行唯無依。於文約義豐略論取解。故言心樂總持等也。

[Treatise:] There are sentient beings […] who are able to grasp understanding. [Exposition:] This is the fourth [class of sentient beings], those of the dullest faculties who [possess neither of the] two retentions. Because they value the retention of text, they nevertheless consider the extensive text of comprehensive treatises to be vexatious. Their minds delight only in […] and their practice is solely without reliance. They grasp understanding from concise treatises whose text is brief and whose meaning is rich. Therefore, it says: "their minds delight in dhāraṇīs," and so forth.
