論。或有眾生至而得解者　述曰。此即第三文持根性。此鈍根者自無智故。不自依經而能解義理。以文持能依廣論依他取解。

[Treatise:] "There are also sentient beings... and attain understanding." / [Exposition:] This is the third, the capacity of faculties that retain the text. Because these dull-rooted individuals lack their own wisdom, they cannot independently rely on sūtras to understand the principles of the meaning; possessing the ability to retain the text, they rely on extensive treatises and grasp understanding in reliance on another.
