2.107

論。以不解故至生死等法　述曰。此正明執相也。不解真如隨緣義故。謂如來藏體若無染何能生染為染所依。故知體具世間染法。

[Treatise:] "Because of failing to understand, [they say that the Tathāgata-garbha in its own essence inherently possesses all dharmas of worldly saṃsāra...]" [Commentary:] This directly clarifies the characteristics of the attachment. Because they do not understand the meaning of suchness according with conditions, they say: if the essence of the Tathāgata-garbha lacks defilement, how could it produce defilement and serve as the support for defilement? Therefore [they think] its essence inherently possesses the worldly defiled dharmas.
