2.16

論。以因緣俱至成自然業　述曰。此顯證理也。因謂無明。緣謂妄境。心相謂即麁細染心。此皆盡故心體轉依名得涅槃成自然業。轉依有二。一轉顯。即由了因心體顯故名得涅槃。二轉得。即由生因以用起故成自然業。

[Treatise:] Because cause and condition are both [...] accomplishes natural activity. [Commentary:] This reveals the realization of principle. "Cause" refers to avidyā. "Condition" refers to deluded objects. "Marks of the mind" refers to the coarse and subtle defiled minds. Because these are all exhausted, the essence of the mind undergoes transformation of the basis; this is called attaining nirvāṇa and accomplishing natural activity. Transformation of the basis has two kinds: first, transformation of manifestation—that is, because the essence of the mind is manifested through the cause of comprehension, it is called attaining nirvāṇa; second, transformation of acquisition—that is, because the function arises through the generative cause, it accomplishes natural activity.
