論。如是一切至如來能知故　述曰。此結明不等也。此二煩惱皆依根本無明所起。以本無明有多差別如此惑性差別無量。自非佛智餘豈能知。以此煩惱性差別故。故令信等前後差別。

[Treatise:] All such [...] only the Tathāgata can know. [Commentary:] This concludes by clarifying the inequality. Both of these afflictions arise based on fundamental avidyā. Because fundamental avidyā has many differences, the natures of these delusions have boundless differences. If not for the Buddha's wisdom, how could anyone else know them? Because of these differences in the nature of afflictions, differences in earlier and later occur regarding faith and the like.
