論。當知如來至攝護信心　述曰。次下顯其防退之法。於中有二。初正顯其法。後別引經證。初中有二。初勸知念諸佛攝護。後顯知念所得之益。此初也。當知十方諸佛如來有勝神通善巧方便。攝受護念修信心者不令退墮。勸初心者起如是念勿生怯弱。

[Treatise:] "One should know that the Tathāgatas […] gather and protect their faithful mind." / [Exposition:] Next, it shows the method to prevent regression. There are two parts here: first, directly showing the method; later, separately citing sūtra evidence. The first has two parts: first, advising them to know and be mindful of the Buddhas' gathering and protection; later, showing the benefit obtained from knowing and being mindful. This is the first. One should know that the Tathāgata Buddhas of the ten directions possess supreme spiritual powers and skillful means, gathering, protecting, and being mindful of those who cultivate the faithful mind, not letting them regress and fall. It advises beginners to give rise to such mindfulness and not generate faintheartedness.
