[Treatise:] If one contemplates that Buddha's [dharmakāya as constantly such, and diligently cultivates, one will ultimately obtain rebirth, because one abides in right samādhi.]
[Commentary:] This shows abiding in right samādhi. If one relies on this text, it shows that right here one truly practices no-thought and contemplates that dharmakāya. The new translation is different, for that text says: "Hearing the Dharma there and contemplating the Buddha's dharmakāya, one gradually cultivates practice and is able to enter the right stage." It does not prevent one from practicing no-thought here, contemplating the Buddha, and generating that right samādhi, because that accords with what the sūtras say. What the translator brought out does not contradict the meaning. The dharmakāya of all buddhas is called the Buddha family. The contemplative mind's entering into accord with it is called "rebirth." Reaching this ultimate point is called "ultimate," because one comes to abide in the stage of the lineage of right determination.
