5.128

論。以深自害至三寶之種　釋曰。此顯罪重之意也。道五逆罪者但墮無間。非斷三寶。非深自害。謗此法者亦自斷滅三寶之種。名深自害。勸他毀謗墮大苦報。斷三寶種名深害他。由斷自他三寶種故。名斷一切三寶種也。

Treatise: "Because they deeply harm themselves … [and sever the lineage] of the Three Jewels." / Commentary: This reveals the reason why the transgression is grave. As for the five heinous transgressions, one merely falls into the Avīci Hell; it does not sever the Three Jewels, nor is it a deep self-harm. But one who slanders this Dharma also cuts off and extinguishes one's own lineage of the Three Jewels, which is called deeply harming oneself. Urging others to slander it causes them to fall into retribution of great suffering, and severing the lineage of the Three Jewels is called deeply harming others. Because it severs the lineage of the Three Jewels for oneself and others, it is called severing all lineages of the Three Jewels.
