5.129

論。以一切至入佛智故　釋曰。次下轉釋斷三寶義。於中有二。初斷佛寶依法而成。後明僧寶依法而有。此初也。一切如來皆依等者。明過現佛因法成果。一切菩薩因之等者。顯未來佛以法為因。以三世佛依法成故。謗法不信名斷佛種。

Treatise: "Because all [Tathāgatas rely on this Dharma] … to enter the Buddha-wisdom." / Commentary: Next, this further explains the meaning of severing the Three Jewels. Herein there are two [parts]: first, that the severing of the Buddha Jewel is [severing that which] is accomplished by relying on the Dharma; second, clarifying that the Saṅgha Jewel exists by relying on the Dharma. This is the first. "All Tathāgatas all rely on" and so forth clarifies that the Buddhas of the past and present achieve the fruit by relying on the Dharma as cause. "All bodhisattvas, because of this" and so forth reveals that future Buddhas take the Dharma as cause. Because the Buddhas of the three periods of time are accomplished by relying on the Dharma, slandering the Dharma and having no faith is called severing the Buddha lineage.
