1.67

大佛頂經云　元是一精明。分為六和合。一處成休復。六用皆不行。一根既反源。六根成解脫。反聞聞自性。性成無上道。反見見自心。見性成佛道。

The Śūraṅgama-sūtra says: "Originally it was a single pure brightness, / Divided into six harmonies. / If one sense organ comes to rest and recovers, / The functions of all six cease to operate. / When one sense faculty returns to the source, / All six sense faculties attain liberation. / Turning the hearing inward to hear one's own nature, / That nature accomplishes the unsurpassed path. / Turning the seeing inward to see one's own mind, / Seeing the nature accomplishes the Buddha path."
