Chapter Two: The Signless Dharma
"The definitive meaning of the single awakening is difficult to understand and difficult to enter, not known or seen by those of the two vehicles; only Buddhas and bodhisattvas can know it. Good sons, if in transforming sentient beings you give rise to no notion of transforming, not giving rise to no transformation, that transformation is vast indeed. Cause those sentient beings all to be free from the mind of self; all mind of self is originally empty and quiescent. If one attains the empty mind, the mind is not an illusory transformation; free from illusion and transformation, one immediately attains non-arising. The mind of non-arising lies in non-transformation." Mokṣa Bodhisattva then addressed the Buddha, saying: "World-Honoured One, if there are sentient beings who, seeing phenomena arise, what view should they be caused to extinguish?"
