Regarding 'Furthermore, as for the supreme teachings of the Āgamas,' etc.: This means that the Āgama sūtras banish the mark of self and only preserve the marks of dharmas without extinguishing them; thus one knows that conditioned and unconditioned dharmas genuinely exist. The Prajñā sūtras state that all conditioned things, tathatā, and nirvāṇa are all like an illusion; thus conditioned and unconditioned are all empty. The Avataṃsaka-sūtra states that the three realms are mind-only, and the Commentary on the Daśabhūmika explains it as the mind of ultimate truth; this clearly shows that it accepts the true substance of dharma-nature as existent. The Nirvāṇa-sūtra states that the great parinirvāṇa is unconditioned with the four virtues of permanence, bliss, self, and purity; thus one knows that it accepts the genuine mark of self.
