"Due to being able to conceptualize the path of seeing..." and so forth: Question: Since it says conceptualizing what is realized by the path of seeing, it clearly belongs to the path of seeing marks; why did the previous text say it is established in the path of cultivation? Answer: In truth, both seeing and cultivation have both wisdoms, each conceptualizing the principle realized by itself. But in that treatise, they are spoken of implicitly or explicitly according to the increase or decrease of self-benefit and benefiting others. That is, on the first bhūmi, one can benefit one's own bhūmi, and in the path of seeing, one first obtains self-benefit; the meaning of true seeing increases, while the function of seeing marks is slight, so only true seeing is mentioned while the marks are hidden and not discussed. In the benefiting of others that arises in the path of cultivation, the fundamental wisdom's function is slight, while the subsequent wisdom's function increases; hiding the fundamental wisdom, only the subsequently attained is mentioned. Therefore, it is said that the correct view of the path of cultivation conceptualizes the principle realized by the path of seeing itself. In truth, it conceptualizes the principle realized by one's own fundamental wisdom in one's own path of cultivation.
