據實二障俱障二果者。由說煩惱迷闇諦理障我空智故障菩提。由所知障畏法空理令不顯現故障涅槃。煩惱障涅槃。所知障菩提。次文自說。此不煩舉。

"In fact, both hindrances obstruct both fruits": Because afflictions are said to be darkness regarding the principle of the truths, obstructing the wisdom of personal emptiness and thus obstructing bodhi; and because cognitive hindrances cause dread of the principle of emptiness of phenomena, preventing it from manifesting and thus obstructing nirvāṇa. Afflictions obstruct nirvāṇa, and cognitive hindrances obstruct bodhi, as the subsequent text itself explains; there is no need to cite it here.
