1.45

受大法師記者。謂此菩薩行法施故。便受諸佛記是法師。此即受記見是法師。非受當記為法師也。故花嚴云住法師位。

"Receiving the prediction of a great Dharma master": because this bodhisattva practices the giving of Dharma, they receive the prediction from the Buddhas that they are a Dharma master. This is receiving the prediction upon seeing that one is presently a Dharma master; it is not receiving a future prediction of becoming a Dharma master. Thus the Avataṃsaka says "dwelling in the stage of a Dharma master."
