擇簡於見見不擇者。統論見者有其二種。一推求義。即未見諦諸有漏智。二照理義。即已見諦諸無漏智。今所簡者即依前說。以無漏見而能擇故。

"Selecting differentiates from seeing; seeing does not select": discussing 'seeing' generally, there are two kinds: first, the meaning of inquiring and seeking, which is all tainted wisdom before seeing the truths; second, the meaning of illuminating principle, which is all untainted wisdom after having seen the truths. What is differentiated here is based on the former explanation, because untainted seeing is able to select.
