於菩薩藏等者。即大乘教名菩薩藏。藏者攝也。大乘教中能攝菩薩理行果義。攝益菩薩名菩薩藏。菩薩藏中說深妙法。既聞法已生悟解心。知說法者有大智慧。於深大智而生愛樂。為得妙智故發心也。

Regarding “towards the Bodhisattva Piṭaka,” and so forth: the Mahāyāna teaching itself is named the Bodhisattva Piṭaka. “Piṭaka” means to contain or subsume. In the Mahāyāna teaching, the principles, practices, and fruits of the bodhisattva are subsumed; because it gathers and benefits the bodhisattvas, it is called the Bodhisattva Piṭaka. Deep and subtle dharmas are expounded in the Bodhisattva Piṭaka. Having heard the Dharma, one produces a mind of awakening and understanding. One knows that the speaker of the Dharma possesses great wisdom. Towards this deep and great wisdom one produces love and delight; in order to attain this subtle wisdom, one generates the [bodhi] mind.
