"At the beginning of this stage there are..." and so forth: the first five are frequently explained in various passages below. Here we only explain the latter five: constantly maintaining the mark of renunciation toward body, life, and wealth is called the mind of renunciation; constantly maintaining the bodhisattva's three clusters of pure precepts is called the mind of morality; being able to transmit the Dharma without interruption in an evil age is called the mind of protecting the Dharma; wishing to share the roots of goodness cultivated with sentient beings is called the mind of aspiration; raising all practices and directing them all toward bodhi is called the mind of dedication. Because they are minds obtained in the stage of determinate faith, they are called the ten faithful minds.
