2.18

善男子。復有四法。善能了知一地。至於十地。一者久種善根。二者離諸過咎。三者善知方便。四者懃行精進。迴向菩提。是名為四。

"Good son, there are furthermore four dharmas by which one skillfully and fully understands [how to advance] from the first ground to the tenth ground. First, planting roots of goodness over a long period; second, being free from all faults; third, skillfully understanding expedients; fourth, diligently practicing vigorous effort, dedicating it to bodhi. These are named the four.
