2.19

善男子。復有四法。善知方便。何等為四。一者順眾生意。二者於他功德。起隨喜心。三者有罪悔過。四者勸請諸佛。轉大法輪。是名為四。

"Good son, there are furthermore four dharmas by which one skillfully knows expedients. What are the four? First, complying with the intentions of sentient beings; second, giving rise to sympathetic joy at others' merit; third, repenting one's offenses when one has transgressed; fourth, entreating all Buddhas to turn the great Dharma-wheel. These are named the four.
