3.50

佛說是經已。金華寶池。忽然不現。佛攝光明。娑婆世界。高下不淨。穢惡如本。人行惡故。地獄如本。說是經已。發向娑羅。一切大眾。歡喜奉行。

When the Buddha had finished expounding this sūtra, the golden flowers and jeweled ponds suddenly vanished; the Buddha withdrew his radiant light; the Sahā world became uneven, impure, and foul as before; and because humans commit evil, the hells were as before. Having expounded this sūtra, he set forth toward the śāla [grove]. The entire assembly rejoiced and practiced accordingly.
