佛復告彌勒：「彼諸天人，有色行陰無色行陰、有報應陰無報應陰、有破有陰無破有陰、有受入陰無受入陰、有聲響陰無聲響陰、有中間陰無中間陰、有彼此陰無彼此陰、有究竟陰無究竟陰、有默然陰無默然陰？云何？彌勒！汝在天宮與諸天人說真法，言有此諸陰名號耶？」

The Buddha again told Maitreya: "Do those devas have the skandha of form-samskāras or no skandha of form-samskāras? Do they have the skandha of karmic retribution or no skandha of karmic retribution? Do they have the skandha of destroying existence or no skandha of destroying existence? Do they have the skandha of sensory intake or no skandha of sensory intake? Do they have the skandha of sound and echo or no skandha of sound and echo? Do they have the intermediate skandha or no intermediate skandha? Do they have the this-and-that skandha or no this-and-that skandha? Do they have the ultimate skandha or no ultimate skandha? Do they have the silent skandha or no silent skandha? What do you say, Maitreya? When you were in the heavenly palace speaking the true Dharma with the devas, did you say that these designations of the skandhas exist?"
