識神答曰：「於六神中我為最妙。所以者何？此五大神是我僕從我是其王，行來進止，若好、若醜，可避知避可就知就，彼皆盲冥我為眼目，以是義故我為最妙。」

The consciousness deity answered, saying: “Among the six deities, I am the most wondrous. Why is that? These five great deities are my servants, and I am their king. In their coming, going, advancing, and halting, whether fine or ugly, when something should be avoided, I know to avoid it; when something should be approached, I know to approach it. They are all blind and dark, and I serve as their eyes. For this reason, I am the most wondrous.”
