7.96

爾時，世尊見眾會寂然清淨純一無雜，出廣長舌左右舐耳，放大光明上至無量阿僧祇剎土，眾生見光欣然踊躍歎未曾有。爾時，世尊還攝光明。佛告彌勒菩薩摩訶薩：「吾從無數阿僧祇劫已來，身、口、意淨無有瑕穢，得此實相光明之報，斯由不欺妄故。」

At that time, the Bhagavat saw that the great assembly was calm, pure, unified, and unmixed. He put forth his broad and long tongue and licked his ears left and right, emitting a great illumination that reached up to immeasurable asaṃkhya buddha-lands. When sentient beings saw the light, they were joyful, leapt with delight, and marveled at having never seen such a thing before. At that time, the Bhagavat withdrew the illumination. The Buddha said to Maitreya Bodhisattva-mahāsattva, “From countless asaṃkhya kalpas until now, my body, speech, and mind have been pure and without stain or defilement; I have obtained this reward of the light of the true nature of phenomena, precisely because I have never deceived or spoken falsely.”
