7.97

佛復告彌勒菩薩摩訶薩：「我今囑累於汝菩薩胎化經典，汝當宣傳廣宣布之。若有善男子、善女人諷誦此經，香花供養，搗香、末香、繒綵、花蓋、作倡伎樂，其功德福甚多甚多。若有善男子、善女人不能究竟旦暮諷誦，彈指之頃心念此經者，其功德福不可稱量。何以故？此胎經者，諸佛之父母、眾經中長，過去、當來、諸現在佛，要在母胎經中所化度眾生過於色身，百倍、千倍、巨億萬倍不可稱量。」

The Buddha further said to Maitreya Bodhisattva-mahāsattva, “I now entrust to you this scripture on the Bodhisattva’s Transformation in the Womb; you must proclaim and widely disseminate it. If good men or good women recite this sūtra, worship it with incense and flowers, pounded incense, powdered incense, silken fabrics, flower canopies, and perform instrumental and vocal music, their meritorious virtues and blessings will be very great indeed. If good men or good women are unable to thoroughly recite it morning and evening, but for the snap of a finger focus their minds on this sūtra, their meritorious virtues and blessings cannot be measured. Why is this? This sūtra on the womb is the parent of all Buddhas, the chief among all sūtras. The sentient beings transformed and delivered within the womb by past, future, and all present Buddhas exceed those saved by the form body by a hundred times, a thousand times, hundreds of millions of times, immeasurably.”
